What we collect, why, and how to make us stop. Short, because we collect very little.

The checker asks about the kind of income you have and roughly how much. We store ranges, not figures - “£30,000 to £50,000”, never an exact amount. We don’t ask for your name, address, National Insurance number or UTR, and we don’t want them.
You get your answer on screen whether or not you give us anything. The email field is optional and so is the consent box.
If you join the waitlist we hold your email address, the trade you chose and the situation you chose. We use it to tell you when we open and to send occasional plain-English notes about MTD.
Lawful basis: your consent. You gave it by ticking a box that was not pre-ticked. You can withdraw it at any time and we’ll act on it immediately.
Unsubscribing adds you to a suppression list so a later import can’t bring you back by accident.
Waitlist entries are kept until you unsubscribe, or for 18 months without any engagement - at which point we ask whether you still want to hear from us, and suppress you if you don’t answer.
Checker answers are kept in ranges and are not linked to you unless you gave us an email address.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email fjordi897@gmail.com and we’ll deal with it within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
We set no cookies. The visitor counting we use works without them, so there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to ask your consent for. If that ever changes, this page will say so and the banner will default to off.
We collect an email address and two dropdown answers, only if you tick the box. We use them to tell you when we open. You can leave in one click and we won’t sell anything to anybody.
